God’s Response to Gratefulness

In God’s Word gratitude is given simply for God’s unconditional love for us. At times we can unknowingly put conditions on God’s love. If we believe Him for something and the result is not exactly how we imagined some of us might be unhappy or blame God. That is a form of putting conditions on your love for Him.

Why Do We Do This?

We might do this because it is the only behavior we have seen modeled in our lives. Perhaps your parents might have put conditions on their love for you. (This can often cause a mother or father wound.) However, just because this pattern of love is familiar to us does not mean that it is God’s model. We must practice unconditional love with God and others in our lives

Psalms 107:8-9 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

1 Chronicles 16:34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Gratitude Opens Doors of Grace in Our Lives

Do you need an extra measure of grace for in your life?

Gratitude is a key which unlocks access to God’s provision, gifts, and more. Gratitude is an unselfish expression of your need for God.

You are grateful since you acknowledge that you cannot do it by yourself. Whatever your “it” is God is there to help you! Unselfishness and humility unlock God’s grace to move in your life (James 4:6).

Let’s partner with God to allow more grace to flow in our lives.

Lets commit to not take what we have for granted and thank Him for where He has brought you from and what He has taken you out of.

Thanksgiving is the love language of God. Let approach Him and love Him in the way which speaks to His heart most.

Psalms 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
